The Gold Rush

In this class, we covered a brief history of the life-changing events that took place during the California gold rush, discussed transportation, food, and the issues that surrounded them, and closed the class with the different games 49'er children played. Complete with a snack of sourdough bread and jam, panning for gold and making cornhusk dolls, a common toy of the time.
